Please note: The Museum is in the process of digitizing the Meacham Collection images. On occasion, images listed on the spreadsheet were not in the donation to the institution or may not be available, particularly after 1986.
The organization, creation of a finding aid, and digitization of the Meacham Collection was made possible through the support of the Oklahoma Historical Records Advisory Board Improving Access Grant Program, with funding support from the National Historical Publications and Records Commission.

Image Standards
Photographs are custom printed to fill specific orders and cannot be returned. We do not retouch or alter prints and existing imperfections including lines resulting from glass plate imperfection or negative flaws. Any adjustments made to the original image must be indicated in the accompanying caption or label.
Publisher Obligations
Publishers shall furnish The Chisholm Museum, without charge, one copy of each publication or book in which the Museum is indicated as being a source. Use fee payments are due prior to the time of publication and should be clearly marked as "use fee for photos." The Museum does not give exclusive rights to any publisher, author, or photographer, and assumes no responsibility for duplication of subjects by others and no responsibilities for claims by third parties.
Credit Lines
A proper credit line is mandatory. Unless otherwise specified, all reproductions must credit as follows: name of photographer (if known), collection (if noted), "Courtesy of The Chisholm Museum," and followed by identifying number. With printed matter, it is preferred that the credit appears on the same or facing page, the illustration, or, with other "sources of illustrations." Each reproduction must be individually credited.
Exception to Fees
The Chisholm reserves the right to waive fees for the use of photographs by the Oklahoma news media in newspaper articles, newscasts, or noncommercial documentaries. In-state nonprofit organizations may also qualify for a waiver. Waiver requests must be made in writing. Please include your federal or state tax identification number.
The copyright law of the United States (Title 17, U.S. Code) governs the making of photocopies or other reproductions of copyrighted material. Under certain conditions specified in the law, libraries and archives are authorized to furnish a photocopy or other reproduction. One of the specified conditions is that the photocopy for reproduction is not used for any purpose other than private study, scholarship, or research. If a user makes a request for, or later uses, a photocopy or reproduction for purposes in excess of "fair use," that user may be liable for copyright infringement. This institution reserves the right to refuse to accept a copying order if, in its judgment, fulfillment of this order would involve violation of the copyright law. The Oklahoma Historical Society assumes no responsibility for resolving questions concerning copyright.
Donations
Many of our photographs come from generous donors who want to preserve their legacy. If the subject matter of the image, or collection, is consistent with our collection policy we would be glad to accept new donations. Collections are accepted at the discretion of the Museum director. We do not accept photocopies or prints on low quality paper.
