Abandoned Oklahoma: Red Carpet Country Through the Lens
This series of black-and-white images, all local to Kingfisher County in northwest Oklahoma, delves into the region's rich history. Michael, on his ATV, ventures into the backroads to document the homesteads that predate statehood, some even before the Oklahoma Land Run. Each location chronicles the hopes and dreams of early Oklahoma settlers. These homes, which once provided shelter from the harsh Oklahoma dust and storms, served as the foundation for the resilient pioneers of Kingfisher County. Today, their weathered walls stand as a testament to their endurance for over a century. |
